Eroticism and wonderful realism in Latin American literature

This paper is directly related to my literary experiments on wonderful realism. It is not a literary criticism about the universe of eroticism and its investigative slits, but about compulsive immersion on the erotic in the works of the wonderful realism - in particular, of its most celebrated author, Gabriel García Márquez. It is an invitation to provocation, a pulse for the literature that seeks to grub the erotic, the sensuality and desire manifested by the works and characters of this Latin American literary chain. Specifically, on the works Of love and other demons (1994) and Memories of my sad whores (2004). It is a "literary graft" that has its basis in shy eroticism, which is found on a tenuous relationship between contemplation and the impulse of will. The erotic is intrinsically linked to the disciplinary and controlling features of the bodies, present in Latin American social and cultural formation, especially with the insignia of obscurity, secrecy and fear. However, it exposes the social changes based on the ruptures, restlessness, transgressions and rebellion of women and men.
