Human rights and the formation of identity in the current cultural paradigm

Abstract

This article aims at highlighting relevant contemporary issues and challenges in a globalized world. At first, I will study the human rights trajectory by examining the culture and thus underlining the contrasts in the multicultural scenario. Secondly, I will raise the issue of identity through an approach of social web reconfiguration originating from the emergence of liberal thought, drawing attention to insufficient multicultural policies to effectively deal with differences. Next, I will present a notion of transculturalism as a route to possible adjustments in the design of social relations to better comply with the reality in which we live. Hence, I propose a more transparent dialogue with human rights to the promotion of a more inclusive approach towards cultural differences.
