Abstract

This article analyzes the concepts of friendship and politics in Aristotle's philosophy and their relation to the concept of tolerance. It aims to understand the constituent elements, the kinds of friendship and under what conditions it manifests as well as how friendship relates to politics in the Aristotelian philosophy. From the concepts of friendship and politics, this research approaches the concept of tolerance, which is currently used to think the pluralistic societies, in order to show how these concepts can help us creating a new conception that could strengthen the social cohesion and interaction.
