David Hume and the conception of reason in a naturalist perspective
an analysis of Edward Craig from the Similarity Thesis

In this article we will analyze how Edward Craig proposes a new way to read Hume's work, emphasizing the primacy of the epistemological questions over the analytical and ontological questions in his philosophy. Craig contrasts two views about the essential nature of man present in the eighteenth century (the doctrine of God's image, or Thesis of Similarity, and the naturalistic view) showing how this has implications for the conception of reason defended in the epistemological Humean naturalism.
