Woman between Nietzsche's experience (Erlebnis) to “become what you are” and Butler's gender normativity
Keywords:
Woman, Experience, Self-Creation, Normativity, GenderAbstract
The present study adopts Nietzsche's genealogical perspective and its meanings about the woman as a masculine elaboration to discuss the importance of the experience (Erlebnis) for the "Becoming what one is" and points out how the gender normativity discussed by Butler, especially in the work “Problems of Gender”, it can interfere and definitively affect the experiences of women. The idea of the existence of a universal model of woman restricts any possibility of becoming, because, if everything women should be is prescribed, it is up to them only to repeat/perform. This excludes them from the possibility of experiencing their trajectories and the elaboration or construction of themselves.
