This article describes and analyzes some philosophical theses of Stoicism and the brevity of life in Seneca. In outline form, it presents and analyzes some fundamental traits of the Stoic school and how life is brief, finite and fleeting. Most people cling to the futile things of life and the pursuit of foreign goods, such as money and material goods. Few realize the art of living. And philosophy becomes the path to happiness and tranquility of the soul.
